Meet the Metal Morphosis Team: Mia: Expertise Behind the Needle
Hi my name is Mia, and I am a Senior Piercer and store manager at Metal Morphosis. I have been piercing since 2016, and have been with the company for 2 years. I have always loved getting piercings and trying out different styles of jewellery for me and my friends since i was a young teen.
Whilst I was studying BioMedical Science at university I had an opportunity with a family friend to start learning how to pierce and fell in love with piercing. I fell in love with curating ears and seeing the clients happy faces after we have finished transforming their ears.
I have specialised in microdermals for four years and I will never get bored of them. They are a fun and unique type of piercing. My favourite place to pierce microdermals are on the cheekbones. I find that they compliment people's eyes and facial features. You can choose from a vast range of jewellery ,which include colours and shapes , but if you also want to keep it simple and classy you can choose different size clear gems.
We stock so much jewellery it can be hard to choose from but currently my favourite pieces are the following:
TheSacred Heart by Junipurr, it is a stunning statement piece of jewellery with not just sold yellow gold but also has white gold detailing through the middle. It would be great for lobes, conches and in my opinion most effective in a flat piercing.
My next piece is theLavender Prong Gem from Neometal jewellery. These stunning prong set gems come in multiple sizes and are so versatile that they work in many different piercings. As these are titanium they can be anodised in a multitude of colours as well!
Finally, my number one piece would have to beDeath Head Moth from Junipurr. All of my favourites can be found on our website and are available for purchase online and instore piercing.
